International experience
ENSSAT offers its engineering students the opportunity to experience life abroad in a European, North American or Asian country. Through international student exchange programmes with numerous partner schools overseas, ENSSAT promotes student mobility for both academic studies and work placements. Reciprocally, the school welcomes students from its overseas partner universities. Overall, one in every two ENSSAT students takes part in an international exchange.
Going abroad to complete the training course
Engineering students have the option to complete their final academic semester abroad at one of our partner schools (around 20 possible options to choose from). A considerable number of student exchanges are completed as part of the European LifeLong Learning / Socrates-Erasmus programmes.
With regards to bilateral agreements outside Europe, ENSSAT has had an established exchange programme with several universities in Quebec for a number of years. These include the UQO, UQAM, Laval University in Quebec and Montreal University.
Overseas work placements
Overseas work placements can be completed over the course of a gap year or as end-of-studies placements. The most frequently selected host companies are either in Europe : Germany (Daimler Chrysler, Robert Bosch Gmbh) and Italy (ESTECO), or further afield in Japan (ATR) and Canada (International Telecommunications Institute in Montreal).
Eupopean student mobility activities can be eligible for support through the Leonardo da Vinci programme.
Welcoming foreign students
These students select an individually-tailored academic programme approved by their home universities (Socrates-Erasmus or other exchange programmes). In particular, ENSSAT welcomes students from Quebec, Vietnam and Spain, incorporating a French language module into their syllabus.
